Where’s the public vote of confidence for Kyle Flood? Rutgers coach not asking

PISCATAWAY – In the absence of a public vote of confidence from Rutgers administration, football coach Kyle Flood has been left to fill the silence on his own job status.

Flood said Sunday on his weekly teleconference that he isn’t even looking for a statement like the one released by athletics director Julie Hermann one day after the regular season ended in 2013, the last time that his job security was in question.

“Those types of public statements have never been something I’ve asked for or looked for,” Flood said. “I’m not concerned about it. I’ll reiterate what I said a couple of weeks ago: I feel fully supported by the people here at the university that are in the positions that make decisions.
