This seems to be a relatively consensus opinion: Rutgers' 2018 schedule, at least on paper, gives the Scarlet Knights a chance to earn bowl eligibility for the first time since 2014.
The latest sign: CBS Sports ranked Rutgers' schedule as the eighth-toughest in the Big Ten this fall (methodology here), placing Chris Ash's team in the bottom half of the league with a slate that provides a realistic, if not necessarily easy, path to six wins.
From CBS Sports:
Rutgers doesn't have a non-conference schedule that's going to impress anybody on the CFP committee, but if I were Rutgers, I wouldn't look to make life more difficult for myself, either.
