She's guided three different schools -- including Rutgers -- to Final Fours. She's led teams to 25 of the 36 NCAA Tournaments, and she's already enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame.
By now, C. Vivian Stringer has accomplished enough during her legendary 47-year coaching career to not be focused on milestones.
Still: Stringer conceded she does have a concern when it comes to reaching the 1,000-win plateau early this season.
"The only reason that I, in my own mind, want to get it done is I have a lot of family members that are coming from all areas of the country and I don't want them to come up here for nothing -- and they can't get their money back for the ticket,'' the Rutgers women's basketball coach quipped Friday as she previewed the 2018-19 campaign during media day at the RAC in Piscataway.
