PISCATAWAY -- Things are falling neatly into place for the Rutgers fan coming to next week's football-wrestling doubleheader against Maryland.
First, the Nov. 4 game was moved out of Yankee Stadium to High Point Solutions Stadium because of timing and manpower concerns over turning the baseball field into a football playing surface if the Yankees advanced to the World Series.
After Friday's announcement of a change of venue, the Yankees were eliminated by the Houston Astros in the ALCS, but the Rutgers fan base at large -- long unhappy about traveling to the Bronx for a game included in season ticket packages -- certainly will claim "no givebacks!
