PISCATAWAY -- Hurry-up offense has taken on a new meaning at Rutgers.
While Rutgers ditched last year's scheme designed to snap the ball approximately every 15 seconds, there have been a few instances through four games this season where the offense has had to either hurry to get off a snap or burn a timeout against an expiring play clock.
Is it the same thing repeatedly causing the time to tick away?
"There's all kinds of things: There are some times where calls get in late, or players line up in the wrong formation, or something didn't come out clear in a signal that forces you to use the timeout," coach Chris Ash said.
