Rutgers knew Izaia Bullock was having struggles in his personal life, but the charges filed against the now-former walk-on linebacker caught head coach Chris Ash, his staff and his players off guard.
Now the Scarlet Knights will have to resume their season Saturday at Wisconsin, four days after Bullock was charged in an alleged double murder plot.
Speaking on his radio show Wednesday, Ash admitted the situation has shaken his team. That raises natural questions about how prepared Rutgers, which is 1-7 and has lost seven straight, will be to face a highly-regarded Badgers team in its stadium.
