Kiy Hester might be the first player in college football history to commit to a school three separate times.

The redshirt senior safety rejoined the Rutgers football program on Thursday, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NJ Advance Media, after exiting the program in December and announcing an intention to transfer and play at Florida International. Hester, a Plainfield native and former DePaul Catholic star, was committed to the Scarlet Knights in high school. He then decommitted and signed with Miami, but never played a game there and transferred back home to Rutgers.
