What Chris Laviano decision means for Rutgers QBs Tylin Oden, Zach Allen

PISCATAWAY -- Don't pencil Zach Allen into the No. 2 spot on the Rutgers quarterback depth chart just yet.

And, while you are at it, don't put that redshirt on Tylin Oden just yet, either.

Rutgers named Chris Laviano as the starting quarterback for the Sept. 3 season-opener, but coach Chris Ash said that the pecking order from No. 2 down the depth chart remains undecided.

"Right now we have not named who the top backup will be yet," Ash said.

"There's still competition for that top backup spot.
