Rutgers head coach Chris Ash named the true freshman from Old Bridge his starting quarterback on Friday, as first reported by NJ Advance Media.
Sitkowski, who beat out redshirt senior Gio Rescigno and sophomore Johnathan Lewis for the job, will be running the huddle on Saturday, Sept. 1 when the Scarlet Knights open the 2018 season at HighPoint.com Stadium against Texas State.
Sitkowski has been considered the favorite to win the job since the spring. But now that it's official, what is a realistic expectation for the rookie?
