With the Big Ten Tournament headed to Madison Square Garden for the first time ever, the Rutgers men’s basketball team makes a postseason return to a familiar venue for the program. Rutgers has had many memorable games at the Garden over the years in various formats including the NIT, the Holiday Festival, and most notably, the Big East Tournament, as well as several regular season contests against St. John’s.
Rutgers fans have traditionally turned out well for games at the Garden over the years and have witnessed some big wins, bitter losses and even a bizarre ending due to the worst officiating in the history of mankind.
