If you look at the bench when Rutgers is on defense, you will see a man in a suit running up and down the sideline miming defensive play. That man is head basketball coach Steve Pikiell.
After practice last week Pikiell said, "Sometimes I have to take charges, sometimes I get knocked over by people, sometimes I've got to get in a stance to show them but I think our program is predicated around good defense. Every now and then I need to show (senior guard) Mike (Williams) how low to get in that stance so that he's ready to defend.
