Quarterback Tom Flacco will leave Rutgers and head to Towson as a graduate transfer, two individuals with knowledge of his move told NJ Advance Media.
Flacco, a walk-on, graduated in May with a degree in labor and employment relations. He has two years of eligibility remaining and will be able to play immediately for the FCS program outside Baltimore.
Flacco's move simplifies Rutgers' quarterback outlook heading into the fall. The former Eastern High star flashed this spring in the Scarlet-White Game, but it became clear his odds of getting on the field would be long.
