When three-star recruit Tylin Oden committed to Rutgers, the football program got a potential quarterback of the future.
At the same time, the School of Engineering got a prospective student who isn’t referencing trick plays when he speaks of his interest in “new inventions” that “could really change the world.”
Oden said he informed Rutgers coach Chris Ash and offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer that he would like to pursue a chemical engineering major – one of the most prestigious programs offered at Rutgers – in addition to learning the ropes as a Big Ten quarterback.
Being a #B1GFootball QB is just part of the plan for @NewTTO14.
