The title of NCAA Athlete of the year is a prestigious title previously held by some of the most recognized names in sports history. Two of Rutgers University's finest have been nominated for this great honor. Seniors Gabrielle Farquharson (Track and Field), and Brianne Reed (Women's Soccer) have been chosen by the school. The title of Athlete of the Year is to honor the achievements, both academically and athletically of these exceptional students. Students who show excellence in community service and leadership and are graduating college athletes from Division I, II,and III schools are eligible for nomination. They are among a total of 517 athletes nominated.
