SEASIDE HEIGHTS – The Scarlet Knight’s publicity tour was interrupted Thursday by the newest Mr. Rutgers.
Fresh off winning the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby and starting at third base for the National League in the All-Star Game, Todd Frazier suddenly found himself surrounded by Rutgers as he played games on the Seaside Heights boardwalk with his wife and 16-month-old son Blake.
“It’s been crazy, but in a good way,” Frazier said of the whirlwind week that continued with a Friday morning flight to rejoin the Cincinnati Reds. “I couldn’t ask for a better script. The little kids wanting to stop and take pictures with me, I remember being that little kid, so I’ll always stop on a dime for them.
