An offensive lineman, tight end and defensive back were honored when Rutgers handed out during halftime of the spring game by Scarlet Knights head coach Kyle Flood.
The Frank R. Burns Award, indicative of the Rutgers player "who displays extraordinary mental and physical toughness" went to Nick Arcidiacono, a junior tight end from Holland, Pa., who played in 10 games with one starter last season.
Junior offensive lineman J.J. Denman, also a Pennsylvania native, won the Mark Mills Second Effort Award as the most improved player on offense while Saquon Hampton, a redshirt freshman defensive back from Hamilton, N.
