Isaiah Wharton believes he is leaving a Rutgers program about to turn a corner, no matter what the record says.
The senior captain and cornerback, who is expected to start his 48th straight game Saturday in the season finale at Michigan State, expressed confidence the young players who are staying with the program will be able to get Rutgers back to prominence under head coach Chris Ash, who will return for a fourth season.
"The wins and losses don't look good, but at the end of the day, the boys in the locker room, I love them," Wharton said after last week's loss to Penn State.
