As the only quarterback on Rutgers' roster with starting experience on the FBS level, Gio Rescigno finds himself in an unusual situation this summer.
The fifth-year senior who has combined to start 12 games the past two seasons for the Scarlet Knights, Rescigno is the perceived afterthought in a three-man competition that includes sophomore Johnathan Lewis (who showed flashes of brilliance last fall) and ballyhooed freshman Art Sitkowski.
Rescigno isn't naive to the fact that the majority of headlines regarding Rutgers' quarterback competition have centered on Sitkowski and, to a lesser extent, Lewis.
