While we heard from head coach Chris Ash and had several of our own questions answered during Saturday’s Scarlet-White scrimmage, which concluded spring practice for Rutgers football, none included the best play of the entire day. For the last play of the game, 11 year-old Tommy Marcketta completed a pass to 19 year old Lamount Banks, which resulted in a 96 yard touchdown. It was the longest touchdown pass in Rutgers football history.
It’s becoming somewhat of a new spring tradition, as last year’s game ended with 4 year old Mordecai Carthy running for a 93 yard touchdown, the longest in program history.
