The Ash Era Begins...

Another chapter has begun in Rutgers athletics, as the university introduced new head football coach Chris Ash during a Dec. 7 press conference. Ash, 41, has been an assistant coach for nearly two decades and finally gets a crack at a head coaching gig. Ash’s previous stint was two years as the co-defensive coordinator for Ohio State, helping to build a unit that jumped from 84th nationally in 2013 to 29th last year and No. 10 in total defense this season. Ohio State also completed a perfect season and a national title run with Ash’s help in 2014.
