Because he tore the ACL in his knee during training camp of his senior year at Drake University, Chris Ash didn't get to play in what would've been his final game of the season in 1995.
But the Rutgers coach still remembers walking out with other members of the Drake football program's graduating class for a senior day ceremony.
Well, sort of walking.
"I tore an ACL and honestly that's all I could do, was walk at the time,'' Ash recalled. "I might've been on crutches still when I did my senior day walk.
