Monday, college football's spring evaluation period began and will continue up until the end of May. NCAA rules allow a six-week window -- excluding Sundays -- from April 15 through May 31 for college coaches to carefully dissect potential participants in their respective programs. Each school must designate four of the six weeks to evaluate, and seven coaches to send out on the road. Coaches are allowed to evaluate six days per week, but must take Sunday off.
But what does the time frame fully entail?
The period is an opportunity for college staffs to visit high schools and discuss recruits with coaches and other members of the high school administration.
