Say this about head coach Steve Pikiell, he is fearless. After a mundane press conference to start off Big Ten Media Day, when appearing with Geo Baker and Eugene Omoruyi for an interview with BTN host Dave Revsine later in the day, Pikiell raised the bar higher than expected for this season. Revsine asked Pikiell how progress should be measured for this season and he answered with a surprising goal:
“We are going to make a big jump here. We’ve talked a lot about it. Our goal is to go to the NCAA Tournament. I know we haven’t been there in awhile.
