They came on a Friday night in November, in a driving rain storm, with a less-than-marquee opponent on the schedule. They came from their dorms in buses, or from the suburbs in cars, and they filled the seat in the student section at the Rutgers Athletic Center to the very last row.
And just as noticeable?
They stayed until the end, even when it was clear that the Scarlet Knights were going to blow out an overmatched FDU team. They stayed long enough to boo loudly when freshman Ron Harper Jr. was hit was a technical foul for hanging on the rim after a monster alley-oop dunk, and plenty more stayed even longer to fist bump the head coach as he walked off the court.
