As a way of showing support for Kyle Flood, the Middlesex American Youth Football program, in which the Rutgers University head coach’s son participates, is encouraging those attending Sunday’s season-opening action to wear Scarlet Knights apparel.
“Everyone is aware of what happened this week,” Middlesex AYF President Todd Nicolay said, referring to Flood being scrutinized for emailing a state university adjunct professor to inquire about the academic status of a player, which appears to be a violation of school policy.
The university’s office of ethics and compliance, in conjunction with an outside law firm, are investigating the email Flood allegedly sent from his personal account.
