Sam Bergen Impresses at Titan Camp

In an article published on the ESPN website today, ESPN staff writer Paul Kuharsky stated that former Scarlet Knight Sam Bergen “looked good.” Interestingly, a hint was dropped as to why Bergen was not chosen in the draft, but was signed as an undrafted free agent: they didn’t need to do so.

Kuharsky spoke to a team spokesperson and was told that Bergen looked solid. Kuharsky stated that the simple fact that as solid a player as Sam could be signed as a free agent was reason enough not to draft a fullback. Last year, the Titans drafted former Crimson Tide fullback Ralston Fowler and while he performed well in his rookie season, there was talk that the 108th overall pick was not worth giving up a draft pick, as fullbacks are not in demand.
