PISCATAWAY – About 10 minutes after Rutgers wrestling looked poised to score an upset, Michigan walked off the mat with a deceivingly dominant victory.
No. 12 Rutgers suffered a technical fall and two pins accounting for 17 points in the final three fast-moving bouts of a Super Bowl Sunday matinee, as No. 8 Michigan earned a 27-16 win at the Rutgers Athletic Center.
“It happened really quick,” coach Scott Goodale said.
