Rutgers Wrestling has already hit the recruiting trail hard, particularly with their 2020 and 21 classes shining at the Beast of the East Tournament recently.
But now, the No. 10 pound-for-pound high school wrestler in the country and No. 1, 132 pounder according to Flo Wrestling, Shayne Van Ness has narrowed down his collegiate choice to his Top Five in no particular order.
Van Ness, a junior from Blair Academy in NJ, has cut down his options to Princeton, Michigan, Cornell, Penn State, and Rutgers. Notice the Ivy League presence, likely thanks to his life at Blair Academy throughout high school.
