It's not official, but it certainly looks like Nick Suriano will be moving up a weight class this season.
The returning national finalist cruised in a 133-pound wrestle-off during Rutgers' preseason "indicator matches" on Saturday at the College Avenue Gym, which certainly suggests that will be his weight when the 2018-19 season begins on Nov. 3 with a quad meet against Fresno State, Centenary and Johnson and Wales.
Suriano has wrestled at 125 pounds in his first two college seasons. He fell to Iowa's Spencer Lee in last year's NCAA final at the weight. A move to 133 has been expected for some time, but Suriano and Rutgers coach Scott Goodale have kept their cards close to the vest so far.
