This might sounds like the most obvious statement in the history of sports journalism -- yes, folks, I get paid for observations like this -- but sometimes it's that simple. The Scarlet Knights aren't big enough, strong enough or physical enough along the offensive and defensive lines to compete against the Big Ten's best.
That was the case in a 31-17 loss to Wisconsin on Saturday. The Badgers still qualify for that list of Big Ten powers, even during a season that is falling short of their usually high expectations.
