The Rutgers women’s soccer team has performed its best all season when the pressure was at its highest and Thursday night was no exception. Playing its third consecutive road game, Rutgers produced a program record sixth overtime victory on the season, topping Michigan State 1-0.
With less than a minute to play in the second extra session, Nneka Moneme found Nicole Whitley, who took advantage of open space in the middle of the field. She dribbled it all the way into the box and delivered the game winning goal with a shot to the far post.
VICTORY!
