The Rutgers women’s rowing team was selected as one of eleven at-large bids for the NCAA Championships on Tuesday night. It’s the first time the program will compete on collegiate rowing’s biggest stage since 2001. The Scarlet Knights will compete in the twenty-two team field at the Indiana Rowing Center at Eagle Creek Park from May 31st through June 2nd.
In addition to Rutgers, five other Big Ten teams were selected, including Michigan, Ohio State, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
Under Price, the Scarlet Knights have made major strides in his second season at the helm. Rutgers is currently ranked 14th in the nation and just finished in 4th place last weekend at the Big Ten Championships.
