PISCATAWAY — Timothy Eatman's goal when he took over for Rutgers women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer for two games last week as interim head coach was to hand back her program in the shape it was when she left to grieve the death of her mother.
"Coach has always been like my mom,'' Eatman said last week. "When I was 21 I rode the bus 21 hours from Alabama to Iowa to work her basketball camp. She's been that rock in my life as far as coaching. What I wanted to make sure we did as a staff is, when Coach got back, it didn't go backwards.
