Rutgers women’s basketball hires two new assistant coaches under C. Vivian Stringer

PISCATAWAY – C. Vivian Stringer went outside of her network to fill the two vacancies on the Rutgers women’s basketball coaching staff.

Rutgers announced Tuesday the hirings of Kelley Gibson and Ervin Monier as assistant coaches, filling the spots previously occupied by Tia Jackson and Chelsea Newton.

Gibson and Monier worked together at USC during the 2009-10 season, when Monier was assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator under then-head coach Michael Cooper.
