Former Rutgers women’s basketball star Kahleah Copper was honored this week by the WNIT, as the postseason tournament that is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year. Copper was named one of the top 20 players to perform in the WNIT over the past two decades.
She led Rutgers to the 2014 WNIT Championship, where she averaged 17.5 points and 7.2 rebounds during that tournament in her sophomore season on the banks. Copper produced 18 points and 12 rebounds in a clutch title game performance over UTEP that was played on their opponent’s home floor. She was named MVP of the tournament.
