The Rutgers women’s basketball team bounced back from Wednesday’s loss to Iowa with a 69-61 road win at Penn State. Despite a slow start by trailing as many as 7 points in the second quarter, Rutgers was able to lead by 1 at the half and extend its control from there. The Scarlet Knights shot 55.3% from the field in the second half and led by as much as 13 points before Penn State pulled within three at 52-50 with just over six minutes remaining in the game. Rutgers closed out the win on a 17-11 run on the road and remain in first place of the Big Ten standings.
