Coming off their impressive sweep at the Paradise Jam Tournament, the Scarlet Knights had a tough B1G/ACC face-off against #13 Florida State. Traveling to Tallahassee, Rutgers put their four game winning streak on the line against FSU's own five game streak.
Rutgers found themselves in a familiar hole leading off their first quarter, as they fell to an 8-0 deficit, before ultimately ending the first quarter down 19-4. Despite a strong 10-6 run to begin the second quarter, Rutgers was never able to close the gap in the first half, as they went into halftime down 34-16.
Rutgers would go on short runs throughout the second half, fueled by Ariel Butts, Victoria Harris, and later Cynthia Hernandez.
