BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – If Saturday’s game against Indiana was any more of a swing game for Rutgers, it might have to be contested in a playground next to the seesaw and jungle gym.
A win gets Rutgers (2-3, 0-2) back to .500 at the halfway point and keeps alive bowl hopes.
A loss to Indiana (4-2, 0-2) means there may be no avoiding a five-game — or worse — losing streak that will secure just the program’s second losing regular-season record since 2004.
“It’s a big game for us because we have a tough stretch coming up after them,” safety Anthony Cioffi said.
