There are plenty reasons why DePaul (Wayne, N.J.) won New Jersey's Non-public Group 3 crown in 2017. And one of them is the fact that the team is talented, highlighted by guys like junior linebacker Chris Conti, who recently received his first FBS offer from the in-state Scarlet Knights.
"It feels awesome," Conti told NJ.com Thursday. "To work so hard and to finally achieve that goal is a great feeling."
Coming off a sophomore season in 2016 where he generated 14 tackles, Conti registered 56 tackles, three for loss, two sacks, five quarterback hurries, three pass break-ups and a fumble recovery for the 8-3 Spartans in 2017, leading to attention from a number of schools.
