The anticipated season-opener between Rutgers and Temple has been postponed to Saturday, according to Keith Sargeant of NJ Advance Media, the time of the game has not yet been announced.
This decision was made on Thursday morning after much of North Jersey is dealing with flooding from Hurricane Ida, which hit the area on Wednesday night. According to the National Weather Service, about 6.5 inches of rain fell in New Brunswick during the storm. This caused closures of some major roads — including Rt. 18, which is what leads directly to SHI Stadium.
During the week, Rutgers announced that there were no remains tickets for the general public.
