Rutgers takes advantage of Maryland troubles by snagging linebacker Nihym Anderson

Time will tell how much of a long-term impact the investigation into player-abuse allegations will have on the University of Maryland football program.

For now, Rutgers is the first to take advantage of Maryland's "alleged "toxic culture" within the program.

Nihym Anderson, a 6-foot-1, 239-pound freshman linebacker, is transferring to Rutgers, a person familiar with the decision told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday.

ScarletNation.com was the first to report the news of Anderson's transfer to Rutgers.

Rated as a three-star prospect, Anderson is from Vineland High School, the same program that produced current Rutgers freshman Isaih Pacheco, a highly touted running back who is expected to contribute this fall.
