The RAC was buzzing a good twenty minutes before tip-off and the men’s basketball team came out ready to play, starting up 7-0 in the first two minutes of action. After senior CJ Gettys layed in a miss from Mike Williams, Illinois called a timeout and he showed the home crowd how fired up he was in his last game at the RAC. After falling behind early in the beginning of most conference games this season, this was the start they desperately needed. Of course, nothing is easy in the Big Ten. However, Rutgers pulled out a thrilling 62-59 win that ended the regular season on a very high note!
