PISCATAWAY – Rutgers football had reason to celebrate at the end of back-to-back days of hosting camps this weekend.
Head coach Kyle Flood and his staff reeled in a commitment Friday from offensive lineman Justin Morgan of Brooklyn Poly Prep during the Big Man Academy, and then doubled down in the class of 2016 with a pledge Saturday from cornerback Damon Hayes of Upper Marlboro, Md.
The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Morgan, who has one year of varsity experience, is ranked as a two-star recruit by Scout.com, but he reminds some of Tariq Cole, a late-bloomer in high school who could be in line to start at guard for Rutgers in 2015 as a redshirt freshman.
