The new Rutgers coaching staff has made a connection to one of New Jersey’s biggest high school football powers.
Bergen Catholic tight end Korab Idrizi announced his commitment to Rutgers on his Twitter account Sunday morning after a weekend official visit.
The 6-foot-3, 228-pound two-star recruit held offers from Temple and more than a dozen FCS schools in the Northeast, according to Rivals.com.
OC Drew Mehringer said TE would be valued in new @RFootball spread offense. First offensive commit is TE. https://t.co/VO4nPAoWgD #Rutgers
