PISCATAWAY -- The Rutgers women's rowing head coach position is open for the first time in more than two decades.
Max Borghard, who was hired by then-athletics director Fred Gruninger in 1995, has stepped down, according to a source.
The Daily Targum obtained an email from athletics director Pat Hobbs to members of the team that said Borghard and all three assistant coaches (Farrah Edwards, Katie Coons and Michael Eichler) would not be back. Rutgers' student newspaper was first to report the news.
