PISCATAWAY -- On the first day of training camp for the 2017 season, the 2018 Rutgers secondary got a shake-up.
Cornerback Juwuan Briscoe -- a Georgia transfer who was with Rutgers football earlier this summer -- is not with the program during training camp and his future is uncertain.
Rutgers also debuted cornerback Tre Avery, a walk-on who once signed a letter of intent to Ohio State.
Neither Briscoe nor Avery is eligible in 2017 under NCAA transfer rules.

"Juwuan is still at home," Ash said.
