Former Rutgers roommates Gary Nova and Savon Huggins are taking their act to Green Bay.
Nova, a quarterback, and Huggins, a halfback, accepted rookie mini-camp tryout invitations from the Packers on Saturday night in the hours after the 2016 NFL Draft ended.
It’s the second attempt in as many years for Nova, who went undrafted last year and was in mini-camp with the Giants. He was cut and did not play last season, though he remained dedicated to his training and got a renewed stage this offseason because of wide receiver Leonte Carroo.
Talented, productive but injury prone #Rutgers RB Paul James is headed to #Browns for tryouts.
