Rutgers Report: Wisconsin in the Wings

On Saturday, the Scarlet Knights travel to the state of Wisconsin for the first time in their long history. They will be meeting the Wisconsin Badgers at a noontime meeting in Madison, at historic Camp Randall Stadium. For those of you who aren’t history geeks like yours truly, the stadium received its name due to the site’s original purpose as a training camp for Union soldiers during the Civil War.

All that is to say that Wisconsin also has a long and storied history in college football. Their major successes in the Big Ten are also a fairly recent phenomenon.
