PISCATAWAY — In most spring camps, a player with Keith Lumpkin's credentials would be enjoying a reduced workload. The starting left tackle for 26 straight games, the fifth-year senior doesn't have much to prove this spring.
But with Rutgers' offensive line short-handed, Lumpkin has been a full participant in all 12 spring practices. It's a change from the veteran treatment he remembers others receiving early in his career.
"My freshman year some of the fifth-year guys would go, 'I've got a banged elbow.' (Coaches would say), 'OK, stay inside for two days.' But times change," Lumpkin said.
