Izaia Bullock, the former Rutgers player arrested and charged this week with involvement in a supposed plot to commit two murders, is scheduled for a Friday morning appearance in Superior Court in New Brunswick.
Here's what we know so far.
What could happen?
Bullock is on the schedule for a detention hearing, a part of the judicial process here that is conducted instead of defendants paying bail. At a detention hearing, the state, usually an assistant prosecutor, and the defense attorney make arguments about whether the defendant should remain in jail until trial, or be released on certain conditions.
